Recently I have really been into black and white photography, fashion and style. Here are some of my favorite photographs.

I am in Love...with boots
It is time to confess...I am in love with fashion. Infact, right now I am head over heals with a pair of Steve Madden Tsunami rain boots. I was in great contemplation on whether I should get Hunter rain boots or not, then I randomly found these. There are the perfect rain boot, weather proof, fashion forward and super comfortable!
One of my favorite aspect of these boots are the zippers! I also really like the white "stitching". The totally amazing buckles are fantastic...the best rain boots ever.
Today was the day that I watched Eclipse for the first time on DVD, it was rather anti-climactic. I actually thought that after I saw it, I would wallow and wonder around my house knowing that there is never going to be an Edward...ever. But I was happily surprised that this was not the case, yes Edward is one of the greatest "men" to ever walk the fictional planet but I wasn't heart wrenchingly sad after I watched Eclipse. I mean I wish there was an Edward out there, somewhere. But Edward is absolutely perfect, and I don't think perfect exists.
I guess it is Au Revoir, Addio, Farvel!

The Sweetest Boy I Know
This is a close up of Watson...I love him. He is at this moment in time, the sweetest boy I know, probably I will ever know! I mean what boy will love you unconditionally, give you kisses and is so darn cute? Watson has the most amazing eyes, but they are so hard to see with his eyes brows.

| Just look how cute he is, the cutest dog in the world! |
Today Watson spent hours sleeping and cuddling on the couch with Kirka. Then we went for a walk in the chilly weather, and came back to a warm and cozy house.
My dear Watson has been my inspiration to make dog jackets, coats and sweaters!

remnants of summer and doing nothing
I'm back and blogging...again. I really didn't do anything today, well except watch TV and look at fashion magazines. In fact right now I am watching EASY A for the second time in a row. I also watched EAT PRAY LOVE for the second time. Somewhere in the Italian portion of the movie there is something about the Art of Doing Nothing, thats exactly what I did. I really did nothing.
Speaking on a different note, it is that time of year when I linger on the past summer months. These are some pictures I took on the way back from Oregon. For some reason I have some obsession with taking pictures outside the car window at sunset.

Abandoning a Plan
After much deliberation and scheduling conflicts I have decided to abandon the plan for my winter clothing and photoshoot. I came to this conclusion while trying to fall asleep last night, I just kept thinking over and over that spring is coming! And so with my new dress form in tow I will now begin to create spring/summer clothing! I have been really inspired by navy, white and yellow, basically this will be the palette of the "collection". Like a sailor, sea theme! Or maybe, as I am rethinking this, a floral theme with lots of different flower prints.
I am kind of sad because it seems as though I cannot upload pictures!!!
Anyway, I realized that it has been a year since I started this Blog! I think I have had around 750 views, many of them myself, but it is a start!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Taya Now has a Genuine Dress Form
Yep, the title pretty much says it all, I have a dress form! I have been wanting one for a couple of years and this Christmas I got one! It is so beautiful! It is linen and has the super awesome stand that raises it up and down. The dress form is totally industrial and unlike other ones you can put pins into it! Thank You so much Dad and Mom for my wonderful Christmas present
On my mind
Lots of things are on my mind. Something rather prominent is that fact that there is only one more week of winter break, a substantial amount of time but it seems to go quickly! Another thing I am thinking about is college. Yes, I am only a sophomore but I think I should start looking into colleges now. I might have mentioned that I really want to go the University of the Arts London, obviously it is in London. But then I began to think that maybe I can't live in London, so extremely far from my family. Most kids are so anxious to go to college because they want to get rid of their parents, I am in a hurry to go to college because I dislike high school so much! I guess hating high school so much isn't a good thing but I really don't like it, not to be super negative.
I have been also pondering my life in the future and what turns it might take, just a thought.
Anyway, today I cleaned the fridge and mopped the kitchen floor, then I went to Freestone were I got some bread and a scone, then went to return a Christmas present. The owner of the store, mentioned that she liked the button earrings I made my mom for Christmas, I was happy. Then my mom got a super cute hat that looks totally fabulous and we went to home for diner. Diner was crab and garlic bread, it was super yummy!

Inspiration
Throughout these last few days I have found that there are many sources of inspiration if you are open to them. For instance a couple days ago I was making snowflakes out of an old book and was totally inspired. I had this idea about taking all of the ends of the pages I didn't use with the Page numbers and making a collage. And then while I was making my bag I kept cutting off little strips and thought it would be cool to sew then in-between tulle netting.
Then, I was super inspired by homeless people. I mean what if you created a line of clothing inspirEd by homelessness. While in the city today, I was fascinated by what they were wearing! It's so eclectic. And unlike most people they wear what is warmest and efficient. Score instance I saw this man, he was wearing a long sleeve and two short sleeve shirts all in about the same tone of green. I don't mean this to be disrespectful but rather just a wonderence, a study of the clothing around me!
Tonight is Christmas Eve, I love Christmas! I wish and hope for everyone a very Merry Christmas, with love, peace and joy!

Today
After a restless sleep, I got up at around ten and meandered around my house for a bit. Then I decided to make a bag for my self, something I had been wanting to to for a long time. Then, I helped my mom put up the Christmas tree and get ornaments. After this, I went to the Underwood for hamburgers. This is actually really weird because I really don't like hamburgers, but for the last couple of days I have totally been craving one! When I came home I again worked on my bag and periodically decorated the tree. I had the rest of my hamburger for dinner and watched EAT PRAY LOVE.
So this is my bag, I wanted it to be kind of weird and eclectic. I went to my shelf and chose pink boiled wool, why I chose pink I have no idea. Pink is not at all wintery, it is cold and rainy, I have absolutely no notion as to why I chose pink. I saw that someone had put all of these flower things on a head band and was inspired!
The design for my bag is kind of weird, but it just might work. There is a zipper up top and it turns into the flap.
I totally realized something while watching this movie. It seems as though everyone, or maybe just me is searching for something profound to say. I mean something that will really move you and make one think. But then I realized that almost no one is going to say something completely enlightened unless they have writers, are really quick thinkers or just are good with words. It's kind of one of those moments when you come up with a comeback five minutes late.
The design for my bag is kind of weird, but it just might work. There is a zipper up top and it turns into the flap.
Oh yes, and my rain boots arrived today and I ordered them yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!! They are navy blue with a yellow zipper down the back, they are so cute! Thank You Mom for the cutest rain boots ever!
Well, I will be back soon!

John Lennon
Whenever I am sad or feeling like crying, I listen to John Lennon. Somehow his melancholy music makes me feel better by bring me into the saddest mood possible. It may be because I reach the saddest point ever and wallow. Well, last night I lied in bed listening to the songs of John Lennon. One of my absolute favorite songs is Jealous Guy, it's so beautiful and melancholy. Then there Is Oh My Love, one of those songs that is so painstakingly beautiful is makes you want to cry. Speaking of crying everytime I listen to John Lennon I want to or just start crying.
Anyway, FINALS are OVER!!!!!!!!!! Break has started and I am so very excited! I have so many super fabulous plans!

HI

Hello everyone, just saying hello and making sure that the people who read this blog know that I have not resorted to becoming a hermit. Something I have thought of doing very often.
So anyway, this Thanksgiving I have decided to create a photoshoot on one of the days we have off...I am very very excited. However, before thinking about that I have to silkscreen 13 pants and 13 shirts and finish a research paper for english... Yay! Anyway I listening to pandora radio and Lady Marmalade. I did a dance to the song several years ago and then I had no I what vous les vous avec moi meant. And so then I proceeded to have this wonderful idea to wear pajama pants and bras as costumes. Bow Idea where that came from, Why? Why I ask you?
Going right past that terribly ambarrasing memory, Harry Potter is opening tomorrow night at Midnight. And so I normally go to the midnight showing but then I decided not to go because I have 2 tests and quarter grades are going in soon.
And so just a little rant. I have been best friends with this girl for about eight years and we always get into really big fights every summer, but this summer it was terrible and I'm am so completely done. And then she asked me if I could get over the past and move on. And so I did, but apperently she didn't. I have texted her so many times and she will not respond well not always but 8 out of 10 times she won't. Anyways I know she texts all the time! It is kind of disappointing because we always go to these things together and then she tells me she has this really big test, but ok it's not like stuff like that would ever stop her from going to Harry Potter!
Acknowledging the friends I do have! My little...., Happy Belated Birthday, you are the most wonderful person and I am honored you are my friend! I love you so very, very much!!!!
Toodles and have a very lovely rest of the week!

Miniature post

This is going to be a miniature post. I am really supposed to be writing an english essay! Yep, so I've been doing school stuff and that is pretty darn super. I am awfully tired but still going strong, how's everyone out there?
I love Audrey Hepburn. She is graceful, elegant, embodies the meaning of sophisticated.
Well that is all for now!

Donuts
A little while ago I mentioned my Birthday is the city and my trip to Dynamo Donuts! Well, I just uploaded the photos and couldn't resist posting them.
Alright, so today I went with my mom to Napa and on the way there, we stopped for donuts. Now, these donuts are seriously the best thing to ever happen to human kind(ok a whee bit of a hyperbole but...). They are on the small side but are way better than regular Donuts, and they are crunchy but have a soft inside. What really makes these donuts absolutely wonderful is the sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon on the outside, they are perfection!
And then after eating one of the world's best donuts, we went to this great thrift shop. Sadly I didn't totally hit the jackpot, but... I did find the totally awesome Ralph Lauren swim suit. It has red, white and blue stripes and is, did I mention awesome. Oh and the stripes aren't all perfect, they are staggered and really flattering! P.S. I really love the song Daughters by John Mayer!

I haven't really got this uploading photos and writing down so scroll down to the very bottom to understand this little ramshackle hut!

This was me, kind of sad and lonely, like this little shed in the middle of no where
But now I'm happy and excited, dreaming of Paris!!
Yep. I am jumping up and down! It is just so exciting!
Other than this, I have been dancing like crazy! I can barely move I'm so sore! And I started Watson's dog training! He didn't go to the first class, but it is still really exciting!
I mentioned a little while ago that I have been dreaming of shoes. However a shoe purchase is a big purchase, I mean there are these fabulous wedge boot by Jeffrey Cambell and I think that it is just a dream(they are $148) but hey maybe I'll be walking around town with my wedges.

Different
I haven't been blogging for a while, lots of school. So I am in New Mexico, which I love accept its really hot. This posting is going to be short but I had to write.
So I might be switching schools, it's a long story. It's a really hard decision and really bumming me out. Anyway I just have to say that sometimes being on the more different side can be really, really hard. I hope who ever reads this log understands. And you know the thing of it is, I like being different, I wouldn't change it, I love myself and thats the bottom line. BUt when you have to go to school the everyday with kids who only care about nothingness and don't understand, care, or respect you in the least bit, it is so totally hard. Anyway I'm just whining and ranting.
On the sunny I got some really cute clothes, a backpacking back pack and a back pack for my dog. And by the way he got a hair cut, he looks rather dapper.
And the other thing is, I love THE BEATLES, they make me feel happy when I'm sad and crying. I also love John Lennon, but whenever I listen to his music I just cry more, but I still love him.
In conclusion to all of this, I like being different and some day soon it will totally pay off. I love THE BEATLES, Watson is the cutest guy I know and I need to forge onward and right now I need to go to sleep.
TOODLES
P.S. "Fixing A Hole", because I can mend this and "it really doesn't matter if I'm wrong I'm right where I belong I'm right, where I belong"

Swimsuits and whims of summer
I can not help but think of summer. Even though it's raining and cloudy I just keep thinking of summer. However, because of my extremely fair skin and my immense dislike of hot weather, summer isn't as wonderful as I always imagine. Yet, I do love the thought of vintage sun dresses and victorian bloomers and slips. I especially love the thought when there is a clear, river near by. For me, and I think lots of other people, the thought of summer brings upon the thought of swimsuits and bikini waxes, oh joy. Not only that but you have to start thinking about regular trips to the gym and eating really healthy, non-fattening foods, yet there is a bright side. The swim suits. I myself, am not a fan of the typically bikinis, with little gold chains nor one piece cutouts. I LOVE vintage bathing suits, and yes, I do not own one( something that I am so very sad about) but I marvel at there pure fabulousness. Now, when I say vintage bathing suits, I mean bathing suit from the twenties to about the sixties, maybe seventies but no eighties or nineties, I don't really think that considered vintage anyway. But if you look at bathing suits then and bathing suits now, I really want to go and cry, maybe even start protesting. I mean really, most bathing suits now are super ho-ish and so unflattering. I do have to say that there are some really beautiful modern bathing suits, but the sad fact is, is that they most are really expensive. I did, find a really nice bathing suit on Delia's. It is just black with panels and has a vintage tone to it.
Don't you wish we could all wear swimming caps, and the bathing suits are just so wonderful.
Just look at the ruching and gathering, it is so totally flattering and it's so pretty! Plus I want my hair to look like the blonde's, just on occasion
I love this photograph. First of all, her hat is wonderful, her bathing suit is fabulous and she just looks so serene.Well, I have been sewing a lot. And I'm not just sewing but pinning and ironing which I NEVER do. But I think everything is coming along wonderfully.
Ignoring the impending fact that there are absolutely no cute, nice smarts boys in my class, school and town, I have decided to get on with my life and leave the(I will not mention names) certain people, immature and unconcerned with the fact that in three years we all are going to graduate and our lives outside of all the high school drama are going to start, behind. Personally I think my plan is wonderful. Anyway, I have also decided that I and only I am in control of my life, so I need to take every opportunity, whether it be good or bad and make it into something fabulous. Oh yes and, I have come to the conclusion that it's not big things that make you who you are it's all the little wonderful pieces that make up your great achievements. With all this thinking, I have totally and completely straightened out many important things.
I am signing out, for now. Have a lovely afternoon
